The Sac Plat was introduced in 1968 as carry-on luggage: flat when empty, it folded into a suitcase and became a bag upon arrival. It has remained in the catalog with virtually no changes and is one of the few Louis Vuitton pieces that works equally well for work and going out. In the vintage Monogram canvas version, the vachetta develops a patina, while the vertical format remains ideal for carrying a laptop without bending it.
