The process
Three steps. All at home.
01 — Origin
Aurea purchases exclusively through Aurea ReOwn, its in-house purchasing program. We manage every step directly, from evaluation to purchase: we know the origin of every piece before it even enters our warehouse. No external supply chain, no untraceable origins.
02 — Selection and terms
Every day, we assess hundreds of bags; only a small fraction make it into our catalog. The selected pieces arrive at our Modena headquarters, where the first inspection focuses on their condition: leather, corners, stitching, hardware, and interiors. Every detail is checked against the stated condition so that the bag delivered to the customer is exactly as promised.
03 — In-house authentication
Authentication takes place in our in-house laboratories. Every item is certified by Entrupy or LegitGrails, chosen based on the brand, model, and characteristics of the item. When needed, we consult specialized external laboratories. Every result is documented: not a claim, but proof.
Each item comes with its Entrupy or LegitGrails certificate of authenticity, obtained at our laboratory. Many websites charge extra for it: at Aurea, it’s always included in the price, like everything else. It bears a serial number or QR code that links to your bag: a verifiable document that can also be useful if you decide to resell it one day.
For the most valuable pieces, one system isn’t enough for us. We certify them with Entrupy and LegitGrails and, when needed, add the opinion of specialized external laboratories. Two independent assessments, the same result.
