The L'Air-King was launched in the 1940s as Rolex's tribute to Royal Air Force pilots, and has always been the brand's watch most closely associated with aviation. With reference 116900, introduced in 2016, the model takes on a new character: the black dial echoes cockpit instruments, with large 3, 6, and 9 numerals and a prominent minute scale for instant readability, while the green and yellow Rolex crown and green seconds hand make it instantly recognizable. The 40 mm Oystersteel case houses caliber 3131, protected by an antimagnetic shield. Produced until 2022, when it was replaced by the 126900, it is now a discontinued reference. This Lexample, dating from 2018, is in excellent condition and comes complete with its original box and warranty.
