The L'Oyster Perpetual Date is the essential sibling of the Datejust: the same waterproof Oyster case, the same Perpetual automatic movement, but with a cleaner, more functional design. Reference 1500, produced from the early 1960s through the late 1970s, is one of the vintage Rolex models most appreciated by collectors for its proportions and wearability: a 34 mm steel case, smooth bezel, and chronometer-certified automatic caliber 1570. The original black dial, with baton hour markers and the T Swiss T inscription that attests to its era, is the detail that makes this example particularly interesting. The Lwatch, dating from 1975, is in good condition and is sold without its box or papers.
