The Speedy originated in the 1930s as a travel bag for those commuting by train, and since then it has become the most imitated shape in luxury leather goods. The 35 is the most spacious size in the classic family: it holds a tablet, a wallet, and everything else without ever looking bulky. This is the original two-handle version, without a shoulder strap, whereas today Louis Vuitton only offers the Bandoulière in its catalog. On this example, the vachetta leather has remained exceptionally light, practically without patina—a condition that is difficult to find on a model that tends to darken irreversibly over the years.
