Rolex designed the first GMT-Master in 1954 for Pan Am pilots, who needed to read two time zones at a glance: half the bezel blue for night, half red for day. That is where the nickname Pepsi originated, and it has stayed ever since. Reference 126710BLRO, introduced in 2018, is the version that brought back that steel bezel with Cerachrom - a two-tone ceramic that Rolex was the first to produce - and, for the first time, on a Jubilee bracelet. In April 2026, the Pepsi disappeared from the Rolex catalogue without a successor: today it can only be found on the secondary market, and prices have moved accordingly.
Oystersteel case, 40 mm in diameter. Bidirectional 24-hour rotating bezel with a blue and red Cerachrom disc. Black dial with Chromalight display. Automatic in-house calibre 3285 movement, with Chronergy escapement and a 70-hour power reserve, certified as a Superlative Chronometer. Five-link Jubilee bracelet in Oystersteel with Oysterclasp and 5 mm Easylink rapid-extension system. Water-resistant to 100 metres. Year of production 2019.
