The Tank was born in 1917, when Louis Cartier designed a rectangular case inspired by the shape of tanks seen from above. For over a century, it has been one of the most recognizable forms in watchmaking. Introduced in the early 2000s, the Tank Divan reinterprets its proportions, extending them horizontally with an elegance inspired by the soft lines of a sofa. The reference 2612, in the large size with an automatic movement, has a steel case, a silvered guilloché dial with the maison’s signature Roman numerals, blued hands, and a crown with a blue cabochon. The original burgundy alligator strap by Cartier completes this distinctive watch. L’exemplar is in good condition and is sold without its box and papers.
